Good marketing is an essential part of being able to successfully gain extra income online. The key to good marketing is utilizing the free marketing you can get your harnds on. Why? It will allow you to test-drive the most effective ways that marketing works for you and your program(s). This is essential, because not every type of marketing will fit each type of person. You should find the method of marketing that is most suited to your style. Here are some ideas to get your marketing ideas rolling. Try at least one and see how it works for you!
- Do an online press release
- Promote to e-zines
- Join and be active on a message/news board
- Refer your current referrals to your new (tested!) program
- Check out affiliate networks. See how you can get your link or banner in there.
So, next time you’re trying to jump-start your marketing efforts, remember to look at the free options and ensure you’ve utilized them.

Some of you may be familiar with AgLoCo, the for company that was preparing to launch. The idea was that it would pay people to allow a banner to be on their screen as they surf the web. The banner would show advertisements, much like a stock ticker, and users could click on the ads that interested them. Sounds pretty promising, right? So what happened? Well, here’s the story…
AgLoCo was started by the folks who were the masterminds of the highly successful mid-90′s startup, AllAdvantage. AllAdvantage followed the same format, and offered many a nice check each month for letting the banner run and referring friends. It paid, get this: 1 cent for each hour you were on. No big deal, but with 10 referrals, I was getting a check for 50 per month with only half of them meeting the max on the hours allotted per month. Some of my friends who had started early and built their referrals where getting between $200 and $1,000 at the end of the month. So, you can understand why I was looking forward to a possible repeat.When it didn’t happen, needless to say, it was a disappointment. Thankfully, AgLoCo wasn’t the only thing I was working on.
So what’s the point? Be sure to leave your options open when it comes to earning extra income online. If you are with one PTR, PTC, or banner company, try a business opportunity to compliment it. There is always the chance that a startup could succeed or fail, so be sure to get prepared for both when you’re looking at the options in front of you.

Lots of people have suggestions on getting more out of your money in these trying financial times: set a budget, cut back on the coffee, walk to work, etc. Now, I am in no way saying those things aren’t good to do, but what if you just want to try making a quick $30 right now? Today! Within 24 hours; how could you do that? Well, here are some ideas to get you thinking and, hopefully, to get you started.
- Signup For a PTR or PTC
PTR’s (Paid To Read) or PTC’s (Paid To Click) are online opportunities that pay you to read e-mail and/or read your e-mail and go to a website. There is a way to make $30 within 24 hours with a PTR (e-mail me for that tutorial). While most won’t make mega-bucks with this, working with them consistently can bring in a nice few bucks at the end of the month when it’s time to cash out.
- Sell Half of Last Season’s Wardrobe on eBay
Yes, you have probably heard this before. The key to this suggestion is: do not find something that is old to you, but rather gently worn. If you do a little research on sold second-hand items on eBay, it becomes quickly obvious that items which are used but in good condition sell for more than their counterparts that are blatantly second-hand. With so many people trying to save, let it be a win-win situation for you and the buyer. Plus, good items help your feedback!
- Join an IFW Network
What is an IFW network? IFW stands for “Incentivized Freebie Website”. In other words, you sign up, try offers that you normally would try anyhow, and get paid for trying these offers. When you do IFW’s through a network of users, those users will pay you for “going green” (a term in the freebie world which means completing “x” amount of offers on a given site).

- Join a Solid Business Opportunity
