As promised, I will be sharing with my readers, how much do I earn from my side hustles. This income report will include my monthly recap and plans for next month. The purpose of this post is to keep track of my funds and have a target so I could increase my income even more!
Why do I do this? I hope my experience will show everyone what can you earn, if you dedicate a little (or a lot) of your free time, to make extra money. Also, I will be sharing my mistakes, so you don’t have to make them, and you can learn from mine.
I think it’s a great way to stay transparent with readers and help to find their way how to make extra money. Anyone who is thinking about making extra money has this question in their mind “Is it worth it? How much can I earn?” Well, I hope this blog will help you to get those numbers.
October 2019 was the first month when I was trying to make extra money alongside my regular income. I did not make a pile of cash, but it was an exciting month, and I learned about side hustling much more than I knew before.
I can see many bloggers are sharing their blog traffic, blogging income, etc. Some of them earning lots of money from day one only from blogging. Unfortunately, I am not one of them. I am not very skilled technically, nor have a knowledge about SEO or anything else what makes other blogs so unique. Since my blog is very fresh and it hasn’t been monetised in any way, there is nothing I can share about traffic or income from blogging. BUT! I hope I will have something more to say next month.
I am not going to promote my blog, until enough information posted here and it doesn’t feel like desert when you visit my home page 🙂
So, how did I get on my first month?
This month I did try to open new accounts with some survey websites and with task apps on my smartphone. All income made from these two sources. Probably, I could try many more different ventures, but I will do this step by step. I would instead use only the highest paying ventures to keep me going, even if that means I have to use limited sources.
I do plan to register on more different types of jobs in the coming months and will keep you updated.
Total income for October – £231.02.
As you can see it did not rain with the money, but it’s a very decent extra income! If it will keep the same pace, in 12 months this would equate close to £3,000 per year. It is much more than our family spend on annual holidays, so I would even have spare money to treat my kids with something special 🙂
So, here is the breakdown, where the money coming from:
Task apps on my smartphone – £204.20
As already mentioned in my previous posts, I do love task apps on my smartphone. I have tried many of them, and so far only a few are to mention. I will do review all I use in due course over the next month.
Filling In Surveys – £26.82
Surveys were my second part of the side income. Although I tested plenty of websites, only a few of them, I have intentions to use in the future. Prolific, PopulusLive, Swagbucks and Qmee. These were among the highest paying sites. Actually, with Qmee, my plans only keep their extension and earn from browsing the web.
With PopulusLive I have completed surveys worth of £12.00 but did not add them to the list, due to £50 threshold. Once I reach this threshold, they should send me a cheque.
Goals for the next month
- I will keep using task apps and will continue with surveys in my free time. But it’s time to try something new and see if I can expand the range of my activities.
- Try website testing platforms and hopefully will have some work with them 🙂
- Try some cashback places and find the most attractive
- Considering to look at match betting. It still feels like gambling for me, even after reading plenty of posts stating it isn’t. It is the only reason putting me off this venture.
- Write at least five more posts and keep regularly adding the value to my blog.
That’s all for this month. I hope you enjoyed this reading and found this useful. Come back next month for new updates and keep my fingers crossed for my income to grow even more.
Thanks For Reading!
